The Company was established in April 1988 to engage in the business of owning and operating vessels for dry bulk and liquid cargo transportation.
The Company currently owns and operates three IMO Type 2&3 Product / Chemical Carriers, three Medium Range Product Tankers, two Panamax Product Tankers and seven Combination Carriers. The Medium Range Product Tankers will be converted to IMO Type 2&3 Product / Chemical Carriers during 2007. The seven Combination Carriers include one recently acquired vessel which the Company holds as disponent owner and the Company's interest is 50%.
The Company provides services and operates within the product tanker and combination carrier segments of the shipping industry and is a provider of international liquid and dry bulk seaborne transportation services, carrying petroleum products, crude oil, vegetable oils and dry bulk cargoes.
The company's shares are publicly traded in New York (AMEX - BHO) and in Oslo (BHOC.OL).
